RAISEonline have recently (12 Sept 2012) made a number of announcements, here is an extract:
RAISEonline key stage unvalidated data release timetable 2012
Key Stage 1 – 4 October – Interactive tables; 8 October – Summary Report
Year 1 Phonics screening check – end of October 2012
Key Stage 2 – end of October 2012
Key Stage 4 – early December 2012
As unvalidated the tables will not reflect the requested changes that schools may have submitted via the Schools and Colleges Tables checking exercise. The exact dates of publication will be confirmed once known.
RAISEonline proposed 2012/13 developments:
Year 1 Phonics screening check – A range of new reports to enable schools to analyse their pupils performance against national comparators.
Key Stage 2 English reading and writing – Key Stage 2 reporting will analyse both reading and writing performance as well as overall English. Teacher’s writing assessments will be used for the first time.
Calculation of overall English at Key Stage 2 – The methodology used to calculate overall English has been changed to take account of the different way in which writing results are being assessed this year. Full details are available at the following address:
Key Stage 2 level 6 tests – A number of RAISEonline reports will be amended to show level 6 results. All data calculations will take account of level 6 (treated as 6b = 39 NC points).
Mobility – A new pupil breakdown will display the progress and attainment of pupils who have been in school throughout years 5 and 6 for primary schools and years 10 and 11 for secondary schools.
New definition of free school meals from 2012 – The definition of free school meals (FSM) is to change to include pupils in years Reception to Year 11 registered for FSM at any point in the last six years. All 2012 data reports in RAISEonline containing FSM indicators will be updated to reflect this change, which is in line with the revised definition of pupils in receipt of the pupil premium.
Narrowing the Gap – trend report – The FSM/CLA 2011 figures will be recalculated to reflect new FSM definition and will be displayed in a trend report alongside 2012 data.
Wolf Key Stage 4 prognosis report – A new report displaying the 2012 5 A* – C including English and maths indicator using the intended 2014 Wolf qualification criteria will be made available for schools only. This report will be in school’s system only (not in the Summary Report) and will not be used for inspections.
Early maths GCSE entries – A new report showing the results of early entries in GCSE mathematics will be made available.
Amendments to absence reports – From 2012, persistent absentee data where pupils are absent for 15% or more sessions will only be the only measure published.
Confidence Intervals for VA – Improvements to the VA methodology for calculating the pupil group confidence interval are being implemented. The formula now takes into account the range of scores for all pupils nationally rather than the range of scores in the school.
Transition matrices – Updated Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4 transition matrices for a range of subjects will be released in the RAISEonline library following an analysis of the 2012 results.
RAISEonline password reset reminder
Now is a good time to check that your password still works. If you have not used it since 19 July 2012, when you first log in you will be asked to complete a one-off verification form to set up an online password reset similar to those used by banks. This will make future password reseting much easier should they become lost or forgotten.
If your password isn’t working and you haven’t already set-up the reset option, and you are not the administrator for your school (ID includes word SADMIN), then they can reset it for you. If you are the administrator then you will need to email email@example.com from your head teacher’s email requesting it be reset.
If you have any questions please call me on 07917 080201 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
See our website for data report available before RAISE is published and also other that will interpret the data on RAISEonline for your school.
